Founder and Creative Director Wes Townsend brings over a decade of post production, motion graphics, and broadcast design expertise to Garbanzo. Beginning his freelance career with MTV in 2003, Wes cut his teeth designing motion graphics for national music videos and commercials for the likes of Christina Aguilera, Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver, SONY, and Johnson & Johnson.

In 2010, Wes established Garbanzo as a premiere NYC motion graphics company, where he manages, leads, and directs its creative and technical personnel. His team is broadly experienced in the post industry, and includes top editors, sound designers, illustrators, concept artists, 2D and 3D animators, simulation experts, and programmers. In addition to his creativity, Wes’s operation is competitive, providing unmatched value in the industry.

Garbanzo’s clients include MTV, NBC, Discovery Channel, History Channel, National Geographic Channel, Travel Channel, Military Channel, Food Network, Animal Planet, Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), TruTV, BET, Time, Bank of America, Citibank, Johnson & Johnson, SONY, Philips, The World Bank, Booz & Company, RCA Records, Def Jam, Razorfish, Dentsu America, and Tribal DDB.

In addition to his duties at Garbanzo, Wes also teaches motion graphics at Pratt, and manages Garbanzo Legal, Garbanzo’s sister business, servicing the trial graphics industry.
